Intergenerational Mentorship & Friendship Program

Astrology Toronto has long served as a stage for both emerging and established voices, a gathering place, as well as a vibrant community.  Since launching our diversity initiatives,  in 2019, we have been fortunate to welcome many new members and expand our reach across generations, backgrounds, and practices.

As board member and president from 2019-2025, I have had the honour of meeting, connecting with and building community with astrologers of all generations, many of whom have a wealth of experience, including those who had a hand in laying the foundations for the community we know today with our current group.  I was welcomed with warmth and encouragement as I began building my own practice, and I want others to experience that same sense of belonging and support.

Through the Intergenerational Mentorship and Friendship Program (IMFP), it is my hope that we can bring our diversity initiatives full circle, as a natural extension of this mission; to foster connection and conversation across generations, by pairing interested members in a light, structured format that prioritizes friendship, guidance, and mutual respect between generations.

About the Program

Who Can Participate?

• Open to all current members of ATI - both mentors and mentees must be active members.

How It works

• interested mentors and mentees submit an application (open to all current members)

• mentees are paired with a mentor

• mentor-mentee pairs meet 3 times during the season (between Sept 1-Aug 31) for one hour

• meetings can happen through online video conferencing, phone calls, going out for coffee or in any agreed upon format of choice for both participants

• mentorship would not involve lessons, teaching or giving free readings (since some mentors might offer this as a paid service within their practice, instead, think of it as a space for shared conversation — whether about astrology, career paths, study tips, or navigating the field as a practitioner.)

• A flexible, low-pressure structure that respects everyone’s time and boundaries
