This talk unpacks the astrological quest for ‘sexuality signatures’ in the natal chart: points of interest astrologers have used to discuss sexual inclinations, attitudes, and behaviours with their clients. 

As astrologers have been using astrology to seek clarity on romantic and sexual concerns for almost the entire length of the astrological tradition, the techniques up for discussion here date back to the first century ce and include those that astrologers continue to use up to the present day.

Through the presentation, we will consider the currents that underlie astrological conversations about sex and sexuality before analyzing certain methods astrologers have used to handle sex and sexuality in their astrological theories and practices. Following our conversation about the tradition that precedes us, we will consider astrology’s continued use in conversations about sex and sexuality: asking ourselves what may work, and what we might like to change about how we discuss and sex and sexuality from an astrological perspective.
